BookingsYour first appointment is more than just choosing a colour and applying product. I'll first assess your natural nails, your goals, preferred length and shape, and the condition of your cuticles. Based on this assessment, we'll decide between BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) and Hard Gel. I work with several professional brands and select the product that best suits your natural nails, lifestyle and desired result. Your first appointment may take slightly longer as we take the time to properly assess and prepare your nails.
I prefer the term Rebalance rather than "infill" because we don't simply fill in the area where your natural nail has grown. During a Rebalance, approximately 80–90% of the existing product is removed, which takes around 20 minutes. Your natural nails and cuticles are then thoroughly prepared before fresh product is applied. This allows us to properly assess the condition of your natural nails and maintain the structure, strength and hygiene of your set. When booking, please select Rebalance / Signature Set rather than "infill".
Both BIAB and Hard Gel are professional nail enhancement systems, but they have different characteristics and are suited to different nail types and goals. BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) is generally more flexible and is ideal for shorter natural nails with little to no free edge. It provides strength while allowing the natural nail to retain some flexibility. Hard Gel is a more rigid and structurally stable system. I generally recommend it when there is more free edge, when you want to grow your nails longer, or when your nails require additional structural support. The difference is primarily in the chemistry and flexibility of the products. One is more flexible, while the other is more rigid and stable. Neither option is automatically "better." The right choice depends on your natural nails, length, lifestyle and desired result. I'll guide you through the best option during your appointment. Both BIAB and Hard Gel require regular maintenance, generally every 3–4 weeks.
I recommend booking your maintenance appointment every 3–4 weeks. This timeframe helps us maintain the structure of the enhancement, keep your nails and cuticles hygienic, and avoid excessive product growth that can compromise the natural nail. If you need to go 5 weeks between appointments, that is completely okay occasionally. However, I don't recommend making longer intervals a regular habit. Your nails continue to grow underneath the product, so regular maintenance is important for keeping your set healthy, balanced and structurally sound.
